Tasmania

Launceston - Where I lived for 3 years

Me standing at Dove Lake in front of Craddle Mountain on a very cold and snowing day in June 2001.

After moving from the Gold Coast in 1999, I came to live at another picturesque landscape -- Tasmania.

All around is the great mountains that at times even have skiable snowy.

I haven't had the most amount of time to see all that there is to see due to the study load that the college course requires.

I wish I had of taken more time though, as once I started to see some of the places, I realised that I was maybe the most beautifully place God had created on the earth.

Some of the other places that are worthwhile seeing are Port Arthur, Wine Glass Bay and the Cadbury Chocolate factory in Hobart. The beaches are quite lush also but obviously get cold easily and stay frozen much of the year. And although the water is very very cold, the surf is often fantastic. At other times during the year special exhibitions are on so make sure you do your homework prior to embarking on a great holiday.

Many hotels are around and one can usually stop at any and get great service for a good price. Much of there facilities are very old in appearance but well kept. They are an experience and a half.

A typical landscape while driving around Tassie.

Although there often aren't many cars on the country roads in Tassie, one still just has to stop and admire the natural beauty that is everywhere. If you haven't visited them what are you waiting for. Book a visit now!
